Reaching to Communities with Khazanah Kebajikan Free Medication Event

Jakarta, 21st January 2013 – Contributing to the society has been a major concern of Gran Meliá Jakarta that it channels through Community Involvement program. This month Gran Meliá Jakarta continues its support for Khazanah Kebajikan Foundation through the program of ‘Free Basic Medication for 1000 Patients’ that was held on Sunday, 20th January 2013 at Khazanah Kebajikan Clinic in Cirendeu, South Jakarta. This event was held for the clinic to be able to help as many people as possible opened for public since 2005 funded by Gran Melia Jakarta, providing general practitioner service as well as dental service.

The event was warmly opened by Mr. Fairus Fuadi, Vice Chairman of Khazanah Kebajikan Foundation, and Mr. Muhammad Avicanna, General Manager of Khazanah Kebajikan Clinic. Following the welcome were Mr. David Perry as the General Manager of Gran Meliá Jakarta and Ms. Hana Hoed, Director of Marketing & Communications, “we thank you Khazanah Kebajikan who has given such a great privilege for the patients who need to be treated. It is such a joy of supporting Khazanah Kebajikan”, Perry commented. Until around 3 pm more than 500 patients treated by four doctors and three assistants of which Gran Meliá Jakarta team prepared patients’ snacks and lunch for the respective medical staff, committees and volunteers.
