A Traditional Feast For The Senses
Jakarta,
July 2013 – The new Rasa Restaurant in InterContinental Jakarta MidPlaza takes
great pleasure to announce an exciting dining initiative that celebrates local
culinary diversity this July. This festive promotion has been created
especially to coincide with the Islamic fasting month of Ramadhan.
Rasa
Restaurant will be transformed into a vibrant Indonesian marketplace filled
with traditional food around the archipelago while the service staff will be
dressed in national costumes. Followers of the Islamic faith will be invited to
break their daily fast after evening prayer with a separate selection of
refreshing tadjil drinks and light bites. It will be a time to sit back and
relax with family and friends accompanied by the Islamic inpired music that
will be played to enhance the festive mood.
Diverse
flavours and popular delicacies are also available including traditional snacks
such as tape uli, cara bikang, martabak, bola-bola tape, kolak, specialty food
such as pempek, tahu telur Surabaya, empal gentong, bakwan Malang, assorted
satays and grilled seafood served at interactive food stalls. The buffet
includes appetisers, seafood on ice, soup, a carving station, live cooking,
grill and fried station, local delicacies, and a dessert counter. There will
also be a variety of rice dishes offered with different cycle every day and
served with its condiments and crackers to cater to every taste preference.
Dinner is priced at just Rp.298.000++ per person including free flow of tea.
The
traditional feast promotion will run from 8th July 2013 to 9th August 2013 and
available for dinner only. For visitors it is the ideal introduction to the
distinct flavours of Indonesia, while members of the local community will
appreciate the opportunity to feast upon popular dishes in a five-star setting.
